Is A 36 A The Same As A 34b

A family united by blood and music. Tonight

"The Naked Brothers Band," is a simulacrum of an exuberant documentary about children who have "a rock band," begins with a movie and continues with a new series on Nickelodeon and is a fantasy some things do not make sense and that makes it compelling. The brothers are the real life of the offspring of two television entertainers.
is the mother Polly Draper and Michael Wolff's father telegenic team: the singer-songwriter Nat Wolff, 14 ("girl magnet") and Alex Wolff, 12, who plays a flamboyant drummer. The two are the stars of a band of six members.
Ms. Draper, whose "Naked" movie and series credits include creator, producer executive, writer and director, will be forever etched in many memories as Ellyn Warren in the 1987-91 show "thirtysomething" on ABC, considered a groundbreaking look at yuppie angst. Mr. Wolf, is a musician and composer who was part of the orchestra and musical director of "The Arsenio Hall Show" from 1989 to 1994. In "Naked," Mr. Wolff plays a geeky, accordion. In the TV is the father of their children in real life children. It is also the music supervisor and co-executive producer of the series.
"This thing had a life," Ms. Draper said during an interview on the set of "Naked," a cavernous studio in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. She was watching a scene in which the band make a video. Polly points out that Nat and Alex were very young when they left the bathroom a day, and both they said, "Here we are the Naked Brothers Band!" And danced around the apartment. In preschool, Nat formed a band with his best friends.
"Nat decided he wanted his own comedy movie, so did a movie called 'Do not Eat off my plate,'" Ms. Draper said. "I sought to interview their friends and make a documentary." And that was the beginning of the Naked Brothers movie, about five weeks of adventure in 2004 using mostly family members and friends, with a budget of less than $ 1 million.
("We we were hidden in places and ran after them, "said Mrs. Draper). The film won" family film "award at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2005. He then came to the attention of Nickelodeon, which acquired it for broadcast with minor changes and developed the series.
"At first we were intrigued by the idea but were not sure they liked the children and understood it," said Tom Ascheim, the executive vice president and general manager of Nickelodeon . 'Then a group of us took home the video to our own children and they loved it. "
" Naked Brothers "also appeals to adult star. Look for cameos by the "thirtysomething" cast in the film, as well as by Mr. Hall, Uma Thurman, Julianne Moore, Cyndi Lauper and other stars. Snoop Dogg appears in the first episode. After all, in "Naked Brothers", the band is world famous.
In the TV series, the family lives in a colorful apartment in New York City, where children attending the Amigos Elementary School and Alex eats peanut butter for breakfast - not when they are jumping into limousines, having fights food and agitation in front of screaming fans. The real life family lives in Manhattan, where children attend private schools, and - so far - and a life very similar to the show, despite a recent rash of attention as the publicity machine cranked up.
"There is a lot of irreverence and a lot of reality," Ms. Draper said of the family of creative business. While the "Naked" series and the movie are the first shots in the direction, the script for his debut was in 1999 with "The Tic Code," a theatrical film starring Gregory Hines that was informed both by her husband to the children of the struggles of Tourette syndrome and its passion for jazz.
For the series "Michael hacerca write like a child," said Mrs. Draper "and on children as adults. The fact that adults are like children the kids love it. "
Nat, whose mother enormous eyes and has written songs with music since I was 5, is his own man when it comes to music," says his father. "It's art, so as not to interfere."

The film tells the story of the origins of the band and introduced most of the main characters. The series features Cooper (Cooper Pillot), administrator and manager of the band a child in a suit and big glasses, Rosalina (Allie Dimeco ), the bassist and Nat's great love, and her nanny and tutor, Jesse (Jesse Draper's niece).
Rounding out the band with guitarist Qaasim (Qaasim Middleton), who favors Jim Hendrix-like wigs afro, the cellist, Thomas (Thomas Batuello) and keyboard player David (David Levi, who has known Wolff brothers since preschool). Alex and Nat

same in real life as they are on television: chatty, guileless, fun-loving. A giant in the study room, shot hoops with their friends after filming an episode in which Nat kiss another girl because Rosalina abandoned his role in the video. During filming Nat was wrong and I kiss her for real! and then explained to his mother that he thought he was following the directions. The socket can be seen in the video for Long Distance.
"It's good," Alex said when asked how it was working with his mother.
"It is better to work with anyone else," he added. "She is her mother, she is not an authority. You do not have to behave difrerente." Alex aspires to be a professional skateboarder. "
For Nat, the music is its great attraction. Has acted off-Broadway in" entering the Heaven "and" The Heart of Baghdad "and was a regular at the Comedy Club improvisation.
Nat wrote about 150 songs." I always loved, "he said." I love the Beatles. Every Beatles song I heard he wanted to be like them "
" The show is almost all based in reality "
These things I could do or say or want to say or do. I like the feeling of creating something that no was there. If we have another season, I am absolutely sure to get ideas. Alex and I are going to have a camera and make a movie "
" We work with our best friends, that's great! "

Albie Hecht, the other executive producer of the series, said the brothers were seen after large and enthusiastic audience reaction to the film at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
"They're just real, real brothers, real friends, is what children do when they're hanging out on the playground," says Mr. Hecht . 'The idea that you are watching a documentary so much fun. Then put them into that fantasy of a world-famous rock band and that's the sauce that makes the work
