Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (2010)

I expected, I expected to win. A new Silent Hill is always welcome and as I had a choice to try because I have to work with him. And also, the game gives us, once again, the control of the legendary Harry Mason, star of the first part of the saga. So there was the question: What remake? "Reinvention? Anyway, I was forced to see for myself. Shattered memories has been released for Wii, PS2 and PSP, with access to a server version of the immortal PS2. The game was clearly designed to play at the controls of the Wii but no one is dying to use the spreader and sticks it to the end of the day, the series has become famous as well.

The game offers us several things, and as given a warning to some charge, Shattered memories playing with us as we play with him. This means that our actions will shape the development of the game, because in a hearing at first Parson, a psychiatrist will observe how we will be piloted in certain circumstances which are inserted in the main plot, in which Harry Mason print your car in a snowy Silent Hill goes in search of his missing daughter. Here and pass the third-person view, with our flashlight and some other novelty as a next-generation mobile phone. The grace is that as we answer to a psychiatrist or as we do in the game, some items will be significantly altered. I do not mean much.
Now
not we use old maps to lead Harry to his fate. We have a phone with GPS, which incidentally, makes us interference that made us the legendary radio first Silent Hill. Interference that will serve to guide us into the paranormal, so to speak. We may also take photographs, strange calls and receive text and voice. Total, which as we seek to Cheryl we take photos of something rare to see around and listen to voice messages as some of the stories behind the scenes to visit. We put a control stick to move Harry and the other to aim the flashlight while the camera is placed just behind us. The puzzles could not miss, but they are not twisted. Also, get some key objects is no challenge whatsoever. The classic door requires a key does not take us long walks in search of the happy object mapped convoluted, but it will be easier than you think. The most complex is to open some locks, window boxes or using the Wii Remote, or failing that, by moving a cursor with the stick of the other consoles. Bullshit where you have more dedication than elsewhere.

Then we fighting, times when instead of going to that "other dimension" in which everything seems rusty and full of blood, here the scenario begins to freeze, there are enemies and we must go a point A to point B drawn and crossing gates. All too contrived for the Wii Remote, for example, if we are running and an enemy hits us back, shake the remote to sacárnoslo off, which in versions for other consoles is solved by pressing a certain button. No kits, no weapons, only a few flares to scare off enemies. In these sections, crossing gates, we can hide in some corners, put an obstacle, give a break ... and basically the difficulty lies in finding our destination without getting lost and without the bugs reach us (which I was not too complicated).

game bad thing is that we know exactly when we are exploring a scene and when we have to overcome enemies from one stage to another. Everything is bounded and have no stress of not knowing what is behind each door escnde or at any time, we do know here! And to make matters worse, the game repeats this pattern over and over again, so that the voltage is reduced to a well-earned moments Cuñat. Overall, we explore the stage without fear of an enemy appears, we solve a puzzle, comes a scene, everything freezes and flee from enemies. Less stress, more repetitive, more linear and very, very short. We're not just against the worst of Silent Hill that have been released to date (obviaré the Qinta part, I have not played), but at least Silent Hill, Silent Hill and Silent Hill to the shorter (Origins was short, but it was more crumbs.)

hereby say that the story behind the title is very good, the soundtrack shines at the height of what we are accustomed to the series, the graphics are pretty good and that its many details, possibilities and final give you something more than life. The game remains in an acceptable, but far below the levels that have marked previous installments.

I give this to focus it so different consoles has made it so short that may be a portable game and change the classic development of the series for showcasing the Wii Remote. I mean left despite having its virtues, I hope it's only a timely change in the series, clearly subject to the limitations of the platforms to which it was intended.
